6.3 Tangyue Archway At the entrance of the Yue Village, there are seven magnificent stone memorial archways along a path; three built in the Ming Dynasty and four in the Qing dynasty. They were built in the feudal society for the purpose of honoring meritorious service, moral integrity, charity as well as loyalty and filial piety.
There are two ancient temples by the side of the entrance of the archway; one for men called Dunban Hall or Nanci, which means a hall of good example and the other for women called Qingyi Hall or Nuci, which means a hall of good example.
